Mary J. Anthony bought her first investment property while still a college student, launching a lifelong love of real estate, first becoming an appraiser and then chief appraiser in Beverly Hills, California, and later, a licensed Realtor in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. With over 25 years in the business, Mary brings a wealth of experience and a high level of personal service to each client. With an earlier background in Hollywood, she loves to stage houses for sellers, often selling the ones that failed to sell with the previous Realtor! She is a lifelong Top Producer (NVAR) and a proud, devoted mom of a gorgeous daughter. She is an avid traveler and adventurer who has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiked the 26-mile Inca trail to Machu Picchu, dog-sledded in Alaska, lodged in a treehouse in the Amazon jungle, skydived in New Zealand, and trekked in Nepal and Bhutan. Alex Pachedzhiev was born and raised in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe, where he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Plovdiv in 2002. He discovered the profession that truly fit his positive, communicative and energetic personality in 2006 and obtained real estate licenses in MD, VA and DC. In 2015, he joined Keller Williams, the largest international real estate brokerage in the world. Alex’s vision is to promote a positive attitude and help his local community, clients, business owners, young professionals and fellow agents achieve growth and build wealth. He is a Certified Negotiation Expert, Accreditted Buyer’s Representative and Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource. He is director of NexCo Alexandria, a multi-faceted networking organization that helps local businesses grow their production and database. He serves on the membership committee of the Mt Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce where he was selected as a nominee for the Board of Directors. Arriving in the United States at the age of 22 with just $300 in his pocket, Alex charmed his way into a job at The Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel in Ocean City, MD, where he spent two valuable and unforgettable summers absorbing American culture and honing his English language skills before moving to the Washington DC Metro area. There he discovered the profession that truly fit his positive, communicative and energetic personality and in 2006 Alex obtained real estate licenses in MD, VA and DC. In 2015, he joined Keller Williams, the largest international real estate brokerage in the world, and branded his first real estate company, Alexander Realtors. His excellent performance was noticed by the CEO and fellow agents of the company where he was offered a partnership with one of the top real estate agents at Keller Williams, giving rise to his second company, KW Beltway Homes.

After a stint in film production in California, Mary gave up the glamour of Hollywood and became an appraiser and chief appraiser in Beverly Hills, later transferring to Washington, DC, where she became a licensed Realtor. She earned a master’s degree in International Transactions (MAIT) from GMU in 1998, including study abroad at Oxford University. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Colorado College.

Mary served as a director of the Realtor board (NVAR) for two terms and was chairman of the state association convention (VAR) in 2004. In the local community, she served as president of the PTA, past president of the Arlington Kiwanis Club, and is on the board of an Afghani foundation for orphans. She holds several professional designations as an appraiser (CREA) and an international property specialist (CIPS), among others, and is a member of FIABCI, the pre-eminent global network of international Realtors.

Holding licenses in Virginia, DC and Maryland, and an appraisal license in Virginia, Mary is able to serve her clients at a very high level in the entire Washington metro area.
